TLDR Pit results: 5cm of new. 35 cm of damp slab on top of 5 cm of facets. CT 13 @ 40 cm on fragile rain crust. Pry test = 1 slab at the ground. No other signs of instability. Pit location: 841 m elevation (58.25688, -134.51241) just below ridgetop at The Beach. Slope angle ~20 degrees NW aspect. Wind at 2.2 meters/sec. Sunshine. 0c. Partly sunny. 5 cm new on top. 30cm down fist dense, then 10cm of finger density. sugar on bottom. 45cm pit depth. 55cm avg snow depth . 53 cm at Nest with 45cm on storm Gauge. Power Patch at 37cm. We climbed & skied cautiously, like the Pansies we are. Plenty of Huckleberries out there- not so much.
