Quick report
Soggy day in the Selkirks. Chris and I traveled to the Roman Nose Lakes Area to conduct a welfare check on the new remote camera plot. If you encounter this site, please do not disturb and be respectful of the important information this provides our forecasting program.
• We approached via Snow Creek road. The first sign of snow on the road was at about 4,000 feet. We continued driving up and over Caribou Pass before trasistioning to walking on skis at about 5,200 feet, north of Ruby Pass.
• Snow depths increased from about 6-10 inches at 5,200 feet to about 19 inches as we made our way to the plot near 6,000 feet.

Overcast day with light-moderate rainfall on and off throughout the afternoon. Rain line reached up to at least 6000' (our day's highpoint). Calm/light south winds.
Snowpack
Snowpack data collected within close proximity to the Roman Nose Snow Camera Plot (6,000 feet East aspect).
• HS measurements ranged from 35-70 cm. Average HS was 45cm (1.5 feet)
• Observed a mostly saturated snowpack.
• Notable crust (10/25) buried 21 cm beneath the surface.
