Field of dreams is one of my goto places when the avy conditions are high. Most of the slopes are below 30 degrees. I was surprised how stable everything is. I went up and dug a pit at the top in the trees about 150' below the ridge at an elevation of 8,100'. I obtained an ECTN22 where the block fractured without propagating. I got a CT17 at 9" depth and CTX below that. HS 25". The Jan2 PWL has stabilized since I did a hand pit in the storm two days ago. I saw active cornice fall and snow transport on munchkins ridge above Bloody Knuckles. On the way down I ski cut a few roll overs and was unable to get any snow to move. I looked for signs of debris in avalanche gulch. All I saw were tracks of a lone skier, skiing down the gut of the chute.
