Numerous large to very natural slab avalanches on leeward and sun-exposed slopes at upper and middle elevations. Mostly on east through south aspects between 5,500ft and 6,800ft near Rock Mountain and Mount Howard. These likely occurred between the afternoon of February 27th and the morning of the 28th. Notably, I looked at several other upper-elevation slopes. Some had faint, older debris, likely from between the 25th and 27th, but most others were smooth with wind-loaded snow. Any avalanches more than 24 hours old could have been covered up by the intense wind loading.
