Quick report

Cracking
specific

Cornice failures and avalanches above 6,500' on NE aspects where recent wind loading built up cornices. Warming and sun seem to have triggered the cornice collapses. Some cracking below 6,500' in wind loaded terrain on NE slopes (including Gunsight), but did not slide. Some stubborn wind board on ridges. Sun effect and sun-induced point releases on SE and S slopes from intermittent sun breaks .

Avalanche

I observed several natural avalanches on NE aspects, which I interpreted at least some as triggered by cornice failures.
