Quick report
Dug two profiles at 4,800 on NW and E aspects. Wind affected knoll, HS varied from 250-350cm. In both profiles, we observed sudden CT results on hard taps within 1/10 complex (and below in shallower, E facing terrain). Also observed resistant CT results on easy-medium taps below recent storm snow down 20-30cm). No propagation on any layers with several ECT and PST tests in both profiles.
Snowpack
Minimal signs of storm slab instability observed while touring up Draft Dodger via Big Trees to about 4,800. HST settling and feeling heavier/more dense later in the afternoon
Avalanche
Natural slab observed in extreme & confined terrain (Mongolia Chute/Hemlock Couloir).
