Avalanche
Our party triggered three very small avalanches, two while skinning and one while riding. The first occurred on N facing terrain in the Weyerhaeuser clearcuts at approx 3800’, with a 6-8” crown that was 10’ wide on a small convex rollover. It appeared to run on a harder surface below snow that fell on 2/29. The second was on a SW facing ridge at approx 5800’, with a 2-8” crown that was 20’ wide. The third was on N facing terrain at the entrance to the “Elevens” chutes at approx 5700’, with a 12” crown that was 30’ wide.
