Early season conditions but we did not expect to be trenching to the ground all day. Snow stayed cold and dry with how warm the day felt. Cracking/Collapsing when you traveled above you partners track. Hard traveling breaking down into old faceted snow. Boot penetration knee deep. No natural activity. Poor snowpack structure.
