Observation: Beaver Mountain Backcountry

Widespread surface hoar in the morning, on solar aspects it had burned off by 1100. A warm and sunny day in the mountains, high clouds increased in coverage throughout the day. I did not dig a pit, but with the warm days and cold clear nights the snow surface does seem to be faceting, I skied some "loud" powder on west and north aspects. No signs of instability, the snowpack is relatively stable for now.
