This avalanche most likely released naturally during the pockety natural cycle. There is a slight chance that it was remotely triggered by snowmobilers from below. This is a site of a snowmobile fatality in 1998.
There were numerous other small pockets around upper Pleasant Creek that released on the 28th. Photo below is nw facing above Skyline Drive.
