Our group remote triggered a hard slab avalanche as we skied along the ridge that separates cherry creek and ox killer hollow. The avalanche was roughly 125 feet long and 8-12 inches deep and slid 1-45 feet from the fracture before coming to rest. The slab was seemingly formed by the high winds moving across the ridge and fresh snow over night.
