Quick report

Windy conditions and the presence of surface hoar mark a changing point in the previously healthy and stable snowpack. Time will tell how it develops, but things are beginning to change. Windy conditions were transporting lots of snow

Snowpack

The healthy and soft snow brought from the last storm cycle has finally started to change as strong winds were observed all day. Windslabs were visibly developing throughout the day. Surface hoar has grown throughout the last few cold and clear nights.

Avalanche

Skier triggered a windslab approximately 10 feet wide and 1-2 inches deep. Another natural windslab of a similar size released on a spine we had ridden earlier in the day
