Skied north of town near Daisy Pass today. Got an ECTX at 9670ft on a W facing slope. Slope angle 22°. HS 87cm. Below the top 15cm of new snow, the snowpack is largely comprised of facets to the ground. While touring up we heard one collapse in the skin track, no other cracking/collapsing observed. Saw no evidence of natural avalanches during the sled in/out or while touring, though visibility made it hard to see.
