- <p>SW winds were loading lee slopes but there wasn't all that much new snow to transport so avalanches were not likely to be all that large. Avalanche problem was also confined to along ridgelines where we observed cracking and a very small avalanche. Once out of the wind this was a non-issue. </p> <p>Dug a quick pit on north facing slope and found strong snow with good density profile. HS = 205cm.</p>
Cracking

Snowpack
Most slopes other than north were crust. North facing skied well with a couple inches of new snow. New snow included some grauple which helped to cover the old snow.
