Quick report
Weak faceted snow both on the surface and below the rain crust from last weak. I view this as a potential red flag in this zone (e.g. up to 7,600'). On smooth slopes without much surface roughness, there could be enough weak snow for initiation of avalanches if the facets are preserved when, hopefully we get a pattern change and snow. Hard to tell if there is enough in areas of high surface roughness. Based on previous obs from the Granite area, I would speculate that this weak snow will add to the building of a complex, albeit shallow, snow pack on northerly aspects. This is an item to watch at this time, stay tuned! There is not enough snow to ski.... None observed

Clear and mostly calm. In the am it felt like there may be an east component to the wind.
Snowpack
Submitting this Ob to highlight the faceting of the snow, both on the surface and below the rain crust. It should be noted that the rain crust has degraded a bit since Friday. I was not able to isolate and lift dinner plate sized pieces. Surface hoar to 5mm in most places. The snow below the rain crust has lost most of its density and is faceted due, most likely, to the lower temps and clear cold nights. I think of this as a potential future red flag.
