Traveled from Heather Meadows over Ptarmigan Ridge, up Video Peak. Skied down the south face (solarscape run). The small wet loose slide appeared to be from the recent 1 in of snow. During transition and while ascending we also experienced multiple instances of collapsing from 5000-5200 ft. Dug a quick hand pit and observed a weak layer 6-8 inches down. Above 5200 ft the snow stayed much firmer and we did not experience any more collapsing on this aspect
