Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
Toured around koppen mountain. Generally good travel conditions. North aspects held 6-12” of fresh powder while south aspects have developed a crust. Quick pit at 5100’ on a treed north aspect showed the JDL 30cm deep and another weak layer around 90cm. Slight collapse on JDL at H26 ECT but no propagation. Shovel tilt caused failure on deeper weak layer (90cm). No signs of widespread avalanches. Just a few small slides on rocky south facing terrain.
