Thin snow down to TH. Thickening on accent. 5800 S aspect hand pit full sun 1045 am. Rapidly melting 1 inch 1-F freeze melt crust, overlying 4-inch 4-F layer, over pencil crust. Test slab popped off with little effort. Decided to TA if upper S facing open slopes were not wind scoured. North side of ridge appears to have lots of fresh wind slab.
