Quick report
We observed a stable snowpack in the area where we intended to ski. This observation matched with what was forecasted for the region we were traveling through. We observed recent avalanche activity across Teton Pass in several areas, including Stateline Canyon and Oliver Peak(both north-facing slopes at or above 7,500'). With the data we collected from the snow pit analysis, we decided it was safe to ski the higher-angle terrain we originally intended to. No other signs of instability were shown throughout the tour.

Mostly cloudy with sunlight breaking through in isolated places. With steady warming from the afternoon sun, the snow was soft and heavy. No new snow was evident on lower-elevation slopes.
Snowpack
ECTN14 ECTP27 HS:74cm Elevation: 7,811' Aspect: S/SW Slope angle: 21 degrees Observed failure on a buried facet layer 35cm down from the surface of the snowpack. This faceted layer of snow had a width of 10cm. Although we observed failure, this faceted layer seemed relatively stable within the isolated region we planned to ski.
