Audible collapsing and visible propagation out to 50' (see photo) was observed on north to east facing low angle slopes in the Swan Flat area at about 8000'. Of course, the persistent rotten snow was easy to find between the new snow and the ground. On steeper northeast facing slopes there was no slab to speak of and we were still sinking to the ground in our boots.
