Snowpack
cold snow up high north facing, and we started skiing a glade down to a steepish chute. at the head of the chute we did a quick hand pit and got 2 clean, energetic shears; one about 8-10" down (Tue storm?) on facets, and another 8-10' below that on graupel. (week prior storm?) . Came out easily enough in 2 cohesive blocks. Seems hard to believe that this long after a storm it could "go" but the unforgiving nature of the terrain and the nature of our "pit" results made us a bit spooked so we bailed.
