- <p>We noted multiple collapses and cracking on north facing slopes around 6800' and more collapsing at 7800' on an east facing slope. The snowpack being wet all the way through was a concern for us as well.</p>

Snowpack
The snow surface was generally mildly heavy fresh snow with 5-6" around 6800' and around 7800'.
The takeaway about snow is that the snowpack was wet below the new snow to the ground. There was a rain crust under the new snow but all layers that we observed underneith where damp.
