I snowshoed to the beaver ponds on Broads. The snow was great and the powder surprisingly deep. The snowpack is still a bit thin. This, I was very aware of the branches underneath the snow to avoid wrapping my snowshoe around them.
The temp was in the mid teens and there was no wind. Even the 11rs above didn't seem to be moving too much snow. That will be changing big time the rest of the week.
I saw three backcountry skiers heading back from skiing in the area. I saw tracks on the lower area of the Diving Board and no tracks on Bonkers. Good call!
