At 11:46am, after observing the D2 avalanche in Tuckerman ravine at approx 11:00am. My partner and I skied from the ravine via the cutler river. While entering little headwall, my partner triggered a very small but potentially consequential avalanche. He skied across the slide path and out of its way. Compared to the avalanche observed in the bowl, this slide is minimal but undermined snow and holes of flowing water under the debris posed as possible consequential hazards. We didn’t observe the approx D2 avalanche in the in the bowl, but we were told by others that observed it, that it slid at approx 11:00am. We also observed a similar crown in left gully. Traveling on low angle terrain, we observed heavy amounts of wind transported snow in Huntington & Tuckerman ravine. Snow ranged in density and bonded differently on old drifts as well as the Jan 10th crust. We observed cracking in softer drifts and collapsing on firmer snow.
