Loading was happening within the couloir from many directions. We witnessed significant top loading and sluffing aswell as crossloading happening at the same time. Up higher in the couloir the loading became more widespread and the overhead hazard seemed significant.

Avalanche

At approximately 8:45 my party of 2 triggered a small 6-8" wind slab in smugglers notch at 2,840' on an eastern aspect. This slide would fall well into a d1, r1. The crown we estimated to be roughly 15 feet, and it only ran 100 feet or so down the gully.
