Quick report
Dug a pit while touring some low angle terrain on an east aspect around roughly 8600 feet. Snow depth was about 130cm and snow got progressively denser (from fist to 1F) down to about 20cm. Between about 15 and 20cm there was a ~5cm thick layer of weak faceted snow. I did a compression test and was unable to trigger anything on this weak layer.
