Quick report

Cracking
isolated
Collapsing
specific

Active wind loading and unstable snow from persistent weak layers in the snowpack. Fresh snow from the morning was scoured by late afternoon along the road and was drifting into lanes. Whumphing and collapsing included a shooting crack that propagated uphill on a gully test slope. Reduced exposure by avoiding slopes greater than 30 degrees and staying away from terrain traps where snow could pile up quickly.
