We did three laps on Schlasmans in the afternoon. On our first two laps we saw no signs of instability - 50cm of soft, right-side-up (F to F+) storm snow over old moist melt forms. It was graupeling at a rate of about 1 cm per hour. Winds were calm to light. On the third lap, we triggered four very small size 1 storm slabs. Small enough to barely have debris piles. One unintentional, two ski cut, and one skier remote. Each was about 15cm deep, and not in an obviously wind loaded area. I'm not sure why we went from no signs of instability to suddenly seeing reactive storm slabs in the upper storm snow. Temperatures did warm between laps two and three, or maybe we just happened to affect slightly steeper slopes on lap three? Instability seemed specific to slopes over 35ish. 30 wasn't steep enough. We also saw some debris in the north facing exit that takes you back below the cliffs from Saddle Peak Skyline. Couldn't reliably determine the size of the debris pile in the flat light, although I don't think it was bigger than size 2.
