went about 3/4 up Chute. new snow was sticking to whatever had previously frozen. the frozen layer seemed like it had a slight thaw that made it a little more edge able. no signs of real instability but felt it was wise to not climb higher due to frozen under layer. skiing was surprisingly good on the way down but a little scratchy when you got to the frozen layer.
