Rope up to Mount Leidy to look for avalanches.
Multiple wind slab avalanches at high elevations. Primarily identified these avalanches on east-facing terrain, with one wind slab starting on a south-facing slope. These avalanches appeared to be a couple of days old and did not step down into deeper weak layers. No signs of instability were noted otherwise. Evidence of wind-loading is isolated at middle elevations. Large cornices have formed at upper elevations. These are likely to become sensitive as temperatures increase in the coming days.
We found two distinct persistent slab avalanches close to each other along the 'K' trail. These avalanches were on opposing aspects but failed similarly. Both avalanches failed on steep, rocky terrain and were 1-3 feet deep. The western avalanche remotely triggered a small pocket of snow which also failed on the ground. This area is at 7900' and had a thin snowpack before the recent loading event.
The snow stayed cold on all aspects at upper elevations. Snow at middle elevations was transitioning to moist snow around 2 pm. There were no signs of roller balls or wet loose activity throughout the day. A melt-freeze crust that formed yesterday was in isolated areas at middle elevation bands. As temperatures start to increase, Togwotees snowpack will start to experience greater affects from warming.

The avalanche was across the canyon from the persistent slab avalanche that crossed the 'K' trail. This avalanche sympathetically released additional pockets on the same slope.
