- Rapid Warming, Poor Snowpack Structure
We have seen the snow pack starting to stabilize and set up as temperatures have increased shaded northern aspects still pose a higher risk due to facets in the bottom layer. But for the most part We experienced a fairly strong snow pack, test slopes held really well, no fracturing, no recent avalanches, and no whoomping on slopes. We did digg a pit and layers can be seen but snow is holding well with the exception of the facets at the bottom. We again couldn't get a full depth breakaway but facets are the and could still pose a risk.
