Quick report
Went to Hope Valley looking to check the conditions and found what has been the recent norm throughout the forecast area. It was a mixed bag of melt/freeze crusts with sugary, faceted snow on the shaded and wind protected areas. We found about a 3/4" crust on the top with good, supportable snow underneath at about 8,000'. The temps were about 12 degrees to start the day and 50 by the time we loaded up. No signs of instability.
