Found <0.5in of new snow in the morning, dusting the cars that were parked overnight at Heather Meadows. It unfortunately rained on us most of the day with moments of mixed snow and rain. We dug a practice pit and found three pencil-hard crusts 28, 36, and 52 cm down. Our ECT failed on the 14th hit on the 36 cm crust.
