Quick report

Cracking
specific

Mostly right side snowpack with minimal signs of storm slab potential and no wind lab observed. Some superficial storm slab instability but no results on test slopes and most cracking limited to upper 10 cm . Sudden results in compression about 40-50 cm down - unable to ID surface hoar, but potential some buried weak snow. The snow at this layer was moist. One “psuedo” propagation in larger columns on this layer, but mostly resistant and unremarkable . In general, seems like storm slab potential is decreasing but still avoiding larger, steep , open slopes. Mostly light winds with ocasional moderate gusts and minimal drifting snow. Superficial cracking , mostly isolated to upper 10cm of mid storm instabilities, some spots deeper. No triggering of slabs in al the terrain we covered including steeper rollovers and test slopes.

Snowpack

60-79 cm of diet to 4 finger storm snow overlying atmospheric river layer. A few mid storm instabilities in the upper 30 cms and one 5-10’ cm above AR layer.
