Quick report

Cracking
Observed

Full western out there most of the day in exposed locations, then things ramped up in intensity around noon. S1-S2 with winds primarily out of SW, though some easterly flow at the lower elevations at the end of the day.

D1 storm slabs became easier to trigger with ski cuts as the day progressed in steeper terrain. Soft slab depths were 45cm deep in north facing terrain (in non wind-loaded features) and were becoming connected with easy propagation as the slab became more cohesive (4F in hardness). Appears to me that some northern aspects were running with some preserved near surface facets at the interface - as evident from our travels and reports from Granite.

Of note, heard an audible coming off a southerly aspect of Surprise in the afternoon.
