First party member dropped into the main Jaws chute, and the width of the chute starting sloughing heavily. The snowboarder hit an exposed rock, and fell into the gut of the chute on his back. The slough, that would have otherwise been outrun, caught the snowboarder and carried him ~100 feet. The snowboarder was partially buried when caught, and was able to ski out the chute after the moving snow slowed. No other propagation was observed, but poor visibility limited further observations.
