Quick report

Good evidence of a large natural cycle over the past two days, but certainly not a comprehensive flush.  Mostly D2 to D2.5, a few that look like possible D3s.  As expected, the northern half of the compass produced many large avalanches that appeared to fail at the base of this week's snowfall (on Feb 8 layer - our January dry spell layer).  There were also some large avalanches on high, southeast aspects.  I saw one avalanche that looked like it stepped down to the ground through the old holiday slab on Whetstone, while most of the slides shown here probably lacked an pre-existing slab and just entrained old rotten snow toward the ground after failing on the Feb 8 layer.
