Outside WMR at the saddle towards Hellroaring Peak on NE and Southerly aspects

We experienced sunny and warm weather and no new snow. Sun was really affecting solar slopes by mid day, snow surface was warm and wet skiing back to the resort. We dug a total of 7 pits on both solar and non solar slopes. We had varied results and when we did get propagation it was with medium to hard force, slab propagated on January weak layer. Propagation was found in 3 of 7 pits, 2 on NE and 1 on SE aspects at the same elevation. In the weak layer we found facets and 3mm surface hoar. We avoided all slopes above 30 degrees.
