Quick report
Travis and I made our way up on foot from Upper Summers Meadow onto the Tamarack Creek hiking trail to get views of the surrounding terrain. We ended up at the wilderness boundary on the trail and were able to get views of Crater Crest's East face, Monument Ridge, Tamarack Basin and the south facing slopes above Twin Lakes. Snow coverage was inconsistent, a few wind drifts, bare ground but mostly boot top faceted snow.
As our dry weather patter remians in place, we will continue to get obs of baseline coverage. The faceted snow we see now may be a concern when we do get some new snow.
