Quick report

We observed nunerous small sloughs off the steep rocks above during our entire outing. Around 4pm, we witnessed a larger slough, that was large enough to knock a skier off their feet. Lucky for us, we had bailed on that section several minutes earlier. This area was exposed above a small cliff band. While it most likely would not have buried us, it had potential to cause a fall and a bad time. Snow in the valley had a ski pen to the top of the boot. Great ski quality, very poor light. Slough hazard was highlighted in the weekend forecast.

Avalanche

Small sloughs off the rocks occurred every few minutes off multiple aspects of steep rocks. While most were small and of no concern, one slough was be enough to knock a skier/booter over.
