Touring up Mount Fuji, we experienced light snowfall (less than 1cm/hr) that was very wet. We found a few buried wind slabs along the main WNW approach route with no active wind loading observed. We dug a pit around 5900'. Results are shown in the attached image. Throughout the tour, the snow surface became notably heavier and wetter from the precipitation. The lower section of Fuji could use a bit more snow to help cover the vegetation, but overall, the skiing was enjoyable. Of note, large developed tree wells seemed to be the greatest hazard of the day.
