Quick report
Temps in the 30s with full sun giving way to clouds in the afternoon. Winds were calm. Encountered firm snowpack heading above and away from the creek. At 5500' the snow had an occasional crust 5/8" thick. Above 6000' we encountered crust, 4 inch windslab, and a couple powder pockets. We dug at 6500' and performed ECT. Snow depth averaged 130cm. Recorded an ECTN 27 with the fracture 20cm below the surface. Nothing unexpected and we descended on our higher angle slope with confidence to take advantage of the thin powder.

2 new observed during our 8 hour tour. Both a result of sun exposure with one on a north facing aspect and one on a south facing aspect. It's that time of year...
