Quick report
A variety of surface snow conditions on today’s ride. Protected mid elevation slopes has winter snow on the surface with a very hard layer underneath. Exposed to wind areas have wind pack, scoured, and soft deposits of snow. Above treeline terrain looks to be hard and ice. The photo is looking south into desolation wilderness and you can see the shine.
