Quick report
I went up to Tamarack to see if the initial Monday night rain had made it through the crusts. I did not have time to do a full pit so I took several quick pits. The snow on the Tamarack up route was all wet all the way to the ground (or just bare ground) and under 30cm. I took three quick pits down the hourglass (trying my best to find undisturbed snow). The top was all damp facets except large dry facets between the basal rocks. Lower down near the run out of the hourglass was damp facets for the top 10cm, then 20cm of dry facets, with knife hard snow below 30cm. It will be interesting to see if the rain penetrates deeper to the full 30cm here with the upcoming rain. I saw no remaining intact SH from some previous reports. All the surface crusts had softened up or melted along the entire route. I did not observe any wet sloughs.
