Quick report
Did an overnight to Upper Lena lake. Snow started around 3800 feet but quickly became pretty deep. Signs of avalanches on Saturday triggered likely from falling snow from above. These went down to the ice layer and gathered a decent amount of snow to cover the trail. On Sunday we climbed Bretherton and saw lots of large wet loose slides triggered on sun warmed slopes. Saw a very large slide on the S face of Lena Mountain. See pictures. Definitely felt higher risk than Green rating. Was surprised by the amount of new fresh snow compared to the reports from around hurricane ridge.
