Quick report
Sunny, calm day with just enough chill in the air to allow continued base layer use for the uphill. Just enough fresh snow 8-10” with the weekend storm to maintain good traction and keep crampons packed away for duration of climb to Devils Kitchen/Crater Rock (and likely to Hogsback). Also provided quality skiing from Upper Coalman (per view pic) all the way through Triangle Moraine proper back to Palmer (when carefully keeping to snow seams and avoiding rime/ice spots) from start to finish of the day. Thought I saw evidence of northerly plumes on the way up, but given lack of evidence elsewhere, pretty sure just a continuously regenerating “snow devil” SE of Steel Cliff.
