Quick report
We dug a pit at 7000’ on a SE facing 25 degree slope HS 130 cm New snow 50cm Faceted snow on and below ice layer @ 50cm CT failed on 17 @ 30cm and again on 26 @ 50cm. We avoided big north facing slopes and watched out for obstacles under the snow since it still a very low pack. Overall I feel that the snow pack is fairly stabile. I do feel like there could be a problem with the ice layer under the new snow in future if we keep getting more snow.
