Observed collapsing and cracking in areas of colder sheltered snow without propagation. No other instability even in ridgeline areas with some wind affect. Stiffer wind slabs minimal. Skied several aspects and lower angle on 3/9 and earlier on 3/10. . We travelled conservatively. Overall stability impression: moderate

Avalanche

Triggered D3 size slide in upper colorado gulch around 7000 on n/ne aspect around 2 pm. Slide visible from town just below and left of the highest peak forming S ridge. Skier #2 triggered slide above and skiers right. Slide path fell away into main drainage. Cross loading and faceted snow/thin snowpack near rock in a steeper 30 degree section. Depth up to 3 feet. Ran 500 feet. width 200 ft.
