Took advantage of the stable conditions before the storm and skied the Northwest Face of Pattison on Thursday. Snow was surprisingly good. Short sections of ice but mostly nice chalky snow. Sun exposed aspects also skied well as the hard crusts were thawed slightly. Not too warm, not too cold, a perfect day! Lots of people told us the snow would be garbage, but it never hurts to check things out for yourself.
