Quick report
Snow was transitioning on Flagpole today. I found soft snow on shady aspects and crusts and melting snow on sunnier aspects. Trees in the sun were dripping with melting snow before noon, and the snow under them was wet. Near the summit, there were signs of previous wind transport, but I didn't observe any instabilities in these areas. From the approach, I could see some previous wet loose activity off the more south-facing rocks near the summit. I couldn't see any signs of recent avalanche activity looking across at the Talking Mt area or further into Desolation Wilderness.
